Ready to Work is a partnership between KCTCS and the Cabinet for Health & Family Services, designed to promote the success of K-tap recipieints who attend the KCTCS college system and promote short-term training opportunities. Let us help with:
2. What are the requirements to participate in the RTW program?
Participants must be parents who are receiving K-tap benefits or other income requirements who are seeking a certificate, diploma or degree in a KCTCS college.
3. What is "Work Study?"
Ready to Work provides work opportunities both on-campus and off-campus through Work Study programs. Parents gain work experience while earning extra income that will not reduce their K-tap checks. The placement of Work Study students with both private and non-profit employers helps prepare them for the workplace.
4. How can Ready to Work help?
If you're on K-tap - know your resources. (We can sign DCBS forms [KW-105A or PA-33's, etc.]) We can work with your K-tap case manager to find money to help with:
